Arriving in Quito, Ecuador, feels like arriving home. Everything is familiar.
After a short overnight stop in Quito, We take a taxi over the 4,000-meter-high Papallacta Pass down into the Amazon rainforest. Normally a 3.5-hour drive, but due to the very poor condition of the road, this trip took considerably longer.
A cheerful team of students and volunteers awaits me at the student residence.
Negotiations and meetings with partners and authorities, interviews with new students, and even work in the student residence itself are on the agenda.
All these challenges keep me motivated.
I also make enough time for relaxation I give myself time for walks in the Pakashka-Sacha forest with my two dogs.
Bienvenidos
