It is obligatory in Ecuador to keep the borders open on regular bases, this at least one meter on each side.
The property of PAKASHKA-SACHA has 1.5 km of borders all around. And this in partly very difficult terrain. Therefor, at least once a year, these lines have to be cleaned because the vegetation in the Amazon rainforest grows very fast. 
After a good breakfast we started. In boots and armed with a machete for each one. 
The work is intens. Four hours are enough to return, all sweaty and tired to the student house.
