Just the climate, the different cultural background and the completely different environment, make Christmas a different celebration. And I like that.
Various schools invited us to their Christmas parties. And there’s nothing here with “Silent Night.” Here we dance, sing and celebrate.
Outside at the school in Puka Urku, the school that we support with our volunteers, we were invited to the celebration. And it became one of the most touching Christmases for me.
Then on December 24th, in the PAKASHKA-SACHA student house, we celebrated Christmas in our own circle and that was probably most reminiscent of our European tradition.
We cooked together, decorated a Christmas tree and enjoyed a meal together at a large table. And of course afterwards there is the distribution of Christmas presents.
