We proudly celebrate the completion of Anabela Huatatoca’s BioTrade program at IKIAM University, our PAKASHKA-SACHA student.
Anabela has presented her thesis entitled „Development of a Strategic Plan for the Entrepreneurship of the Women Weavers of AWAKKUNA from a Gender Perspective,“ a project that promotes the empowerment of indigenous women weavers, contributing to their economic autonomy and strengthening their businesses from a perspective of equality and respect for their traditions.
This achievement not only marks a milestone in Anabela’s professional career, but also represents a significant advance in the fight for inclusion and economic empowerment of rural and indigenous women in the Amazon region. Furthermore, it demonstrates how BioTrade can be an engine of social development, respecting biodiversity and cultural traditions, while promoting gender equity.
This achievement is a reflection of Anabela’s effort, dedication, and commitment to sustainable development and social inclusion. In addition to being an example of how Indigenous communities are advancing in the academic and professional fields, we congratulate Anabela on this important step. We wish her much success in her journey and future endeavors, and hope she continues to be a source of inspiration for her community.
