Our last volunteers took the trouble to bring us a sewing machine from Switzerland, sponsored by my niece and godchild Jasmin. The idea is to organize workshops with this machine in the center PAKASHKA-SACHA. Workshops to produce objects such as handbags, cases and other items from fabric scraps and thus generate work and income for some people from the local population.
For me there are too many threads and adjustments on this delicate machine that make me nervous. However, Denyce, one of our students dedicated herself the “Bernina” and after a short time she is already sewing through any fabric and garment with great skills. With enthusiasm the machine has been rattling along almost unstoppably ever since. Many thanks to Jasmin and the volunteers who brought this machine here. We hope to be able to start the first workshops soon.
